Balkan Resources Incorporated is a Canadian junior mining company soon to be listed on the TSX Venture Exchange. Headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, Balkan Resources Inc. is focused on nickel and copper exploration throughout the lush country of Albania. Albania is one of the fastest growing economies in Europe and has recently joined NATO. Balkan Resources, with its administrative and technical staff in place have retained Albanian geologists and are maintaining tactful local alliances in an effort to better ensure success. Balkan Resources Inc. is one of the few mining and exploration companies currently active in Albania and has great land holdings such as Tuc, Perlati and Kokogllave, which appear promising due to their positioning in historical mining “hot spots”. The Company has received 200 square kilometers of nickel exploration area that includes 10 former nickel and chromium mines, and documents from the Government that show that more than 200 million tons of nickel exists within their borders.

In addition to this, foreign investment is welcome, and the Albania government is openly receptive to foreign countries. Their GDP has increased 250% since 2000 and the country has signed new trade agreements with 26 countries, including the United States. With Albania’s open market economy, and the values of copper, nickel, and other resources appreciating there may not be a better time for exploration and mining in the relatively unexplored country of Albania.
