BRI - Balkan Resources is a Canadian mining company, based in the Albanian region of the Balkans to study and demonstrate the richness in precious metals and minerals occurring within the Balkans, leading to potential world-class mining projects The success and accuracy in our ability to demonstrate and extract high levels of base metal deposits including, nickel, copper, gold and platinum, is firmly down to the implementation of leading edge technology (including diamond drilling) and the envious abilities of our geologists. Balkan Resources is actively drilling in two separate licensed areas within Albania. With copper in the north, and nickel in the south, results are anticipated to initiate a resurrection of mining within Albania. Our commitment to exploring and developing mining in the Balkans of significant base metal deposits, has resulted in six major projects to date; Perlati, Kokogllave, Xhumage & Liqeni Kuq, Tailings, Tuc and Librazhd. Some of the following projects are available to BRI for a 20 year term. Each one of the projects is providing exciting data and opportunities. Perlati - Located in the Northern District of Mirdita –. High tech research is confirming the historical data, in that the area display exciting potentials of gold, silver, lead, zinc and cobalt levels. Kokogllave - Located in the Southern District of Devoll - High tech, diamond drilling is in use to verify historical data. This area is a historic and currently active nickel mining district. An additional 2 year exploration license has been granted to this project. Xhumage & Liqeni Kuq - Located in the Highlands of the Nickel-Rich Librazhd District. Tailings - Located in the Northern district of Mirdit. The five Tailings impoundments are all being assayed to accurately establish the gold, silver, zinc and cobalt content. Metallurgical testing is underway to optimize processing technique. Tuc – Historic Mining Area in Northern Mirdita, Gold-Bearing District Librazhd – With a huge licensed area this district is rich in nickel, chrome and copper. The success of these exciting projects, attracts a highly experienced team and equally exciting board members and investors, including James Belushi, Richard T. Groome, Glenn Laing, Harry Bloomfield and Claude Schimper . Investors wishing to discuss the activities of Balkan Resources further are asked to contact either Glenn Laing glaing@silverbridgecapital.com; Harry J.F. Bloomfield hbloomfield@fieldbloom.com; Richard Groome hbloomfield@fieldbloom.com; Claude Schimper claude@balksnresources.com; Elliot kramer elliot@elliotkramer.ca ; With Albania’s rich mining history, existing known reserves, and untapped potential, Albania should emerge as a world leader in base metal production, with Balkan Resources at the helm. Copper deposits in the northern District of Mirdita were being actively mined until political changes in the 1990s left the mines dormant. Infrastructure exists, and the construction of the new Prishtina-Tirana will greatly facilitate transportation of ore to processing plants, and reduce local shipping times to Albanian ports. Copper was the focus of the Northern mines, and associated minerals such as gold and silver were not exploited. With current market prices, economic minerals associated with the VMS Copper hold the potential to unveil world class mines, and processing plants. Nickel deposits in the Central (Librazhd) and Southern (Devoll) Districts of Albania have also lain fallow since the political changes of the 1990s. Good mining infrastructure exists in these districts, and historic resource documentation shows the potential for many years of economic growth through these mining areas. All data to date from our active drill sites within the Balkan region only prove to back this up. Our main offices are based within Toronto, Ontario, Canada and Tirana, Albania. Our detailed site will convey further deatils of our Company Strategy, Environmental Plans, Local Alliance information and Latest News. |
